On November 29, 2024, I, Dr. Lưu Hoàng Giang, accompanied students from the Faculty of Business Administration (Logistics major) on a visit to J&T Express Company at 1103A National Highway 1A, Bình Trị Đông A Ward, Bình Tân District, Ho Chi Minh City. During the visit, we observed the company’s advanced machinery and technology in action, particularly in importing and processing goods. The efficiency and agility of J&T’s transportation methods were highly impressive, showcasing well-organized operations that have gained the trust of both consumers and major businesses. Their ability to deliver goods quickly, accurately, and carefully is noteworthy.

Despite these technological advancements, human involvement remains critical in areas where machinery falls short. Therefore, students can greatly benefit from focusing on the professional skills highlighted during this visit, including:
- Operational Management Skills: Efficiently managing processes such as receiving, sorting, and delivering goods to optimize workflow.
- Communication and Customer Care Skills: Addressing customer feedback and resolving issues. Positive feedback should lead to adoption and improvement, while negative feedback requires acknowledgment and adjustment. Communication skills are vital, especially in customer service roles.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Applying calm and logical problem-solving techniques when unexpected situations arise, ensuring effective resolution.
- Technology Proficiency: Leveraging software for tracking and managing orders, a crucial aspect of J&T’s operations.
- Warehouse Organization and Management: Learning to organize and manage inventory across multiple warehouses to facilitate efficient import and export processes.
- Risk Management Skills: Assessing and resolving issues such as damaged, broken, or wet goods during transportation, ensuring fair and reasonable solutions for both the company and its customers.
This visit provided students with a comprehensive understanding of J&T Express, including its history, operations, and development. They gained valuable insights into the processes of receiving, sorting, and transporting goods, as well as the interplay between human efforts and advanced machinery. The experience also helped students familiarize themselves with J&T’s products, services, transfer centers, and headquarters, while enhancing their awareness of the essential skills and knowledge needed in the logistics industry.
