In recent days, severe and prolonged flooding in the Central provinces has caused significant damage to people and property, leaving thousands of households in extremely difficult situations. Responding to the call of “Mutual Support and Solidarity – The Good Leaf Protects the Torn Leaf,” lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Van Hien University, have actively participated in the campaign to gather and transport relief supplies to support flood-affected communities in Dak Lak (Phu Yen).

The faculty’s volunteer team collaborated with a local charity organization at Warehouse No. 22 Tay Son Street, Phu Tho Hoa Ward, to carry out the sorting, packaging, and transportation of essential relief goods, including instant noodles, drinking water, medicine, clothing, blankets, and other necessities. At the collection site, lecturers together with more than 50 student volunteers worked continuously for many hours to ensure that the supplies were promptly loaded onto trucks and transported to Dak Lak (Phu Yen).

Student Le Minh Hoang – E-commerce major – shared:
“Seeing the difficult circumstances faced by people in the flood-affected areas, my friends and I wanted to contribute whatever we could. We hope that these relief packages will help the affected families stabilize their lives.”
In addition to transportation efforts, many students also participated in the collection and donation activities at Warehouse No. 22, as well as in communication campaigns calling on the community to join hands in supporting those in need. The total amount of relief goods collected in this campaign reached more than 100 tons, consisting of essential items and supplies for families affected by the recent floods. All goods were delivered to relief points in Tuy Hoa, Dong Hoa, and surrounding areas through reputable charitable organizations.
This initiative not only reflects the social responsibility and compassion of the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management, but also reaffirms the humanitarian tradition of Van Hien University — an institution committed to the values of “Learning to be Human – Learning to Serve the Community.”
The Faculty of Economics and Management will continue monitoring the situation and collaborating with partners to implement further practical support programs aimed at spreading the spirit of kindness and solidarity within the community.
